Introduction

The subgroup's first task has been to produce guidance covering the elements that constitute good governance (clarity of accountability, responsibility, ownership, quality, security, availability, people processes etc.).  They have attempted to capture the basic principles of Information Governance in a PowerPoint Presentation, with accompanying speaking notes and a one-page summary of points.  This primitive approach may not inspire our target audience to act on the messages.  But it provides a start for the EURIM Basic Principles Competition to convey these messages in an innovative, eye-catching and professional way: Educating Your MP: Everything they need to know about Information Governance but were afraid to ask.
