The importance of information, the current state of play
The documents
found within this section describe the extent of the problem of poor information
management in the UK and worldwide. It is self evident that, in the information
age, information is a key asset for any organization. There are compelling
examples of organizations that owe their success, and in some cases their
existence, to the efficient exploitation of information.
However, most organizations do not use information well and are
constrained in achieving their corporate goals as a result.
