Proposal
for a European Parliament and Council Directive on Criminal
Measures aimed at ensuring the enforcement of intellectual
property rights - 2005/0127 (COD) 2005/0128 (CNS)
Proposal
by the Commission for an EU Directive on criminal measures
aimed at ensuring the enforcement of IP rights along with a
proposal for a Council Framework Decision to strengthen the
criminal law framework to combat IP offences. The objective is
to reduce existing disparities between the EU member states'
systems of penalties that make it difficult to combat the
counterfeiting and piracy effectively.
