Introduction & Terms of Reference

The objective of this subgroup is to identify and publicise examples of good practice and the reasons why this is not scaled and replicated.

The first task is therefore to collect examples of low cost, rapid payback projects which have the potential for equally low cost scalability and replication. We are particularly interested in those which link successfully to main stream systems (e.g. data mobiles doing front end data entry, validation and enquiry to an otherwise "traditional" back office/call centre operation) and/or which have have been successfully copied and/or scaled. Where this has not happened we will be seeking to find out why (e.g. lack of inter-operability/scalability and whether these are because of technology or organisational structures/processes).
