The theme of 'Britain: Open for Business', is to emphasise the need for policies that ensure the UK is a location of choice for high-value-added, knowledge-based business and industries that could be based anywhere in the world (from advanced design and fashion to financial and IT products and services).

This event will also mark the launch of a series of new policy studies for EURIM in key areas of importance such as Information and Identity, Cyber-security and E-Crime, World-class Infrastructures (including smart grid and broadband) rewarding creativity (Intellectual Property Rights). The underlining aim is to address how we can use ICT-related policies to help bring about economic recovery and ensure Britain is at the forefront of a competitive global economy.
